There is no cost to it, its just that usually you have some apache2 in front of your webstuff which does internal redirects from port 80/somedir to the tomcat engine, but I was so happy I got the tomcat and opengrok up I just had to post it. ;) I'll try to get an apache2 up and have it do the redirect. -- Some mornings, it's just not worth gnawing through the straps...
