You can manually copy your package to ~/config/package to install without
using HaikuDepot.
IIRC copy doesn't mount the package. You need Move it.
More precisely, if you copy, the packagefs may pick up the package before the
copy is done. This can lead to it trying to mount the package while it is still
incomplete, and of course that doesn't work. A move operation is performed
differently (it makes the directory entry point to the existing data, which is
already complete).
So, copy may work if the package system is slow enough (or if it is a small
package). Use move to be safe.
