Matthias, i don't really know the disk/partition subsystem in Haiku,
but maybe it already implements some kind of unique identifier for
disk handling. Maybe a grep trough the haiku source tree can bring us
some light.

Maybe it could be: Partitonname-UUID?

How would you calculate a partition uuid ... since i am new to this
lowlevel stuff
i have no idea how to calculate such a uuid (wich should also be short...
