Hi Scott!

I tried using bootman on the AMD Geode board but it gives this error:

Thanks for testing on real hardware!

Partition Table Not Compatible
The partition table of the first hard disk is not compatible with boot Manager.
Boot Manager needs 2 KB available space before the first partition.

This board has an IDE flash board as the master IDE device and a CF
card as the slave device, both are 4GB.

At the moment bootman is able to boot from the first drive only. You can add partitons to the boot menu from other drives too, but won't be able to boot from them.

Any idea on how to make it compatible?

You need a partition table (on the first drive) where the first partition starts not before sector 4, if I did the calculation right.

BTW suggestions to improve the wording of (error) messages are welcome.

Or is the boot manager just
not there yet?

Besides the restriction "booting from first drive only" it should work. I have tested on a VM only, though.
