I wouldn't expect, nor actually want, to have one of the core devs working on that kind of thing (besides maybe giving advice when needed). You guys have bigger fish to steam and stew. I was considering starting a bounty for it. However, besides depending on other people seeing the gain in sponsering it, finding a developer with the time and skill is the main hurdle. A messy codebase doesn't help at all, of course... I'll post an enhancement ticket with nice mockups soon. I'll post the URL here and in the forums so gauge the interest for a bounty. Thanks!
