One hit in the timeline doesn't necessarily equate to one email, but to all mails on that date that matches the query. Anyway, I think, the "deluxe", aka "bloaty-useless", version is out. Rightly so and good riddance. :) I'll probably soon rework my proposal with the insights gained from this thread and post that for a final review into the CDT mailing list, where this should have been discussed in the first place, I guess. But it all started out as a question of complexity of the code...
