By the way I've tried updating cygwin's binutils using the package on this page:
http://oss.netfarm.it/mplayer-win32.php
But weird things started to happen. Maybe I've just not installed them
correctly.
Maybe you want to give it a shot ?
Sure - I'll give it a shot in the future (probably next month). Right
now I have too many other things on my plate ;)
Also, my entire Cygwin environment is on the computer I gave to my
wife and I think I'll probably start over on my own machine in the
near future (added benefit: clean slate!)
