Maybe this is a bit premature but I received a project submission to OsDrawer by Mizsei Zoltàn.
He would to the Haiku Welcome package to the Hungarian project.

How translation will be handled by the Haiku project, it would be better to provide translations for the Welcome package from the Haiku repository. I know this is not a task for Alpha1 but I am curious because also the Italian translation may be done in the future :)

I think those documents should all end up in our repository, side by side, in language folders.
They would be a good start for localising the whole OS :-)

You can check the OsDrawer project out at http://dev.osdrawer.net/projects/show/haiku-l10n
The repository is there: http://svn.osdrawer.net/haiku-l10n/
I also created some mailing lists for localization.

Commits list:
http://lists.osdrawer.net/listinfo.cgi/haiku-l10n-commits-osdrawer.net

Hungarian discussion:
http://lists.osdrawer.net/listinfo.cgi/haiku-l10n-hu-osdrawer.net

Italian discussion:
http://lists.osdrawer.net/listinfo.cgi/haiku-l10n-it-osdrawer.net

Such mailing lists are not much used, except for the commits list for obvious reasons (the messages are sent automatically by SVN).

I created the repository, project and mailing lists because I didn't hear anything from Haiku, but it would be better if someone with commit access will put the files already translated into the Haiku repository.
The OsDrawer project and repository will then be deleted.
If you think that the mailing lists will be useful I won't delete them, and I will create more for other languages.
