Ah, thanks. I have to admit I've never bothered much about replicants
before.
One more thing that has me completely baffled, though:
*Where* is the Deskbar shelf storage? I would have thought it would
be somewhere in .../config/settings, but I've searched that directory
from top to bottom and -- aside from 'Deskbar_settings', which just
seems to hold positioning info -- I can find no trace.
I'm assuming that something in the saved Deskbar state has got confused.
(When I saw the old VC slider in the new rev, for example, I suppose
the stored replicant was still the wrong one -- even though it actually
still worked. In the failing partition, it looks to be the right version,
but doesn't seem to be getting any data.)
