I just use the range ckeck which was implemented before. But your are right I don't like it too.
a year it will always switch to 2000 and up. Maybe it should preserve the first part of the century.
The range is only from 1970 to 2037. Why you want to enter a year smaller 2008 !? Get the real R5 feeling? ;-)
Well this is discussible, but then we should stop switching with the trigger below 2008 too! ;) Na just kidding, it's up to you.
