What about just "Quit", "Quit Haiku" or "Quit Session"?

Quit wouldn't be quite right, as you don't just quit the Deskbar, but are about to shut down the system.

I don't agree. Who even knows this is the "Deskbar"? It's that thing that you control Haiku with, not an application which you can quit, same as "Tracker". Both of these are "the Desktop", ie synonymous to "Haiku" for the purpose of this discussion.

I think I would just call the menu "Shutdown" for now and the submenus "Power Off", and "Restart System".

Sounds ok, too. Only problem is that Haiku mostly doesn't actually "power off".

How about someone with commit access actually makes this change now? Just look at src/bin/shutdown for how to send the Registrar a message telling it not to display the confirmation alert. Changing the menu items is about another 5 minutes work including testing.
