Here´s a thought. In Deskbars menu, have submenus
"User" and "System" roughly like Ubuntu´s menu´s 
top and bottom parts.

- the (future) User menu lists user accounts,
  the currently logged on user having its item 
  prefixed by a checkmark and each logged on user
  listed in bold type.

- the System menu would host options Suspend,
 Hibernate, Restart and Shut down.

"Log out" would fit in the User menu, and maybe
"Lock screen" fits best there too.
