Ah, but Andrej will take this even further! Right now, the method is
implemented for non-transformed text only which uses the bitmap cache. But
we want to take this further yet and offer it for general vector shape
rendering. I hope to use it even for icon rendering.

Yeah, sorry for screwing up such a simple thing. My first post had direct
attachments, but I only realized that they ammounted to about 900 K when I
hit Send and then I thought it didn't go through. So now I have send three
mails... :-\
