Hi,
I just realize something potentially throwing a wrench in that
notification idea:
You wouldn't be able to cancel an ongoing download.
Maybe keeping the progress in the SoftwareUpdater window is after all
the best solution. Add a notification when the update is complete, so
people can hide the SoftwareUpdater and be informed it has finished.
But apart from that, improving the notifications as discussed is still
useful. :)
