Sorry to disappoint you. That line was actually drawn "correctly"
without UI freezes.
But I know what you mean with the "single line" between sampling points. But
this is not the case for me anymore :)

I posted the screenshot as a hint for an eventuell interest as to why
my system froze.
Wait. Then you mean that your system froze and never recovered? Mine recovers after some seconds (usually).
