Hello! I just wanted to pop in and provide some feedback on my
experience with the Radeon driver.
I know that there's a survey somewhere from kallisti5 (right?) but I'm
not sure where it is or if it's still open so that's why I'm posting to
this list instead. I hope you don't mind. I have tested Haiku on two
ATI/AMD GPU's. Those and their status are the following:
- Radeon HD 4850 [works]
- Mobility Radeon HD 3400 [almost there]
Some more "in depth" (but not really) details below.

I have no complaints what so ever right now. It works perfectly, pure
quality!

========
My experience trying to get Haiku run on my laptop hasn't been very
great so far. For the last few months I've been able to get to the
splash screen and everything looks just fine. But after that everything
went black. I've tried messing around in the graphics settings that you
can get to when pressing space; but with no success.
Now when some time has passed I decided to try again with the latest
nightly. And like always I get to the splash screen (with incorrect
resolution, I suppose this might be the problem). And after the splash
screen, the monitor flashed pretty brightly and started to dim until it
went completely black. Very weird. Devestated by the result I decided to
try again. This time I actually managed to get to the desktop, but with
flickering all over the screen. I recorded it so I might be able to show
you how it looks, but I'm not sure I'll have time to get the video out
there.
Anyways I just wanted to provide some feedback, I don't know if 3400 has
been worked on at all but at least I can almost run Haiku now. Looking
forward to improvements and I'm very thankful for the work being made.
Cheers!
Isak Andersson
