[haiku-development] Problem during "git clone"

Hi,
This might be a naive question, but I'm facing problems during git clone.
On running 'git clone https://git.haiku-os.org/haiku', I either get
'Unable to resolve hostname'
Or, the the terminal hangs during 'Receiving Objects'
Similarly for 'git clone git://git.haiku-os.org/haiku'
I'm running a nightly build of Haiku on VirtualBox, with Ubuntu as Host OS.
The settings are as follows:
Base Memory:1536MB
VT-x/AMD-V, Nested Paging, PAE/NX, I/O APIC are turned On
Can you please point out where I might be going wrong??
