I think it's worth discussion. I still like the description solution, haven't heard any arguments against it. It neatly solves the problem of providing a description of what a program does, or the main purpose/function. For many programs this will be desirable, since they have their own name which shall not be translated. Icon plus tool tip will get the job done just fine for Deskbar, IMHO. IMO though this is a common problem > and should be solved on the OS level. Maybe I am missing something, but what would "HP DeskJet" be called in German? and what about "Postscript" or "USB"? These are all names that don't get translated. Can you clarify what exactly you want to be translated? Best regards, -Stephan
