I'm having a build problem with the kernel versioning code added in

Is there a reason why you assume this revision has anything to do with
your
problem? Did it work with the previous revision?
That's where the kernel versioning code was modified/added according to
Trac.
That much I understand. I was just wondering, why you would link
introducing ELF version nodes in the kernel to a broken git or perl. I
assume the answer to my second question is: "No I haven't tested with the/a
previous revision."
I've discovered today - by going back to r30700 sources and having the
build continue to fail - that the kernel/libraries built after r30820
are most likely causing the problem.
I'll have the full solution in a few hours.
