Since many of the core Haiku developers are freelancers, I guess that money can indeed help to be able to spend time on the issue earlier. But since at least I would then see this as work, and most of the remaining bugs are supposedly very time intensive, this could easily get pretty expensive.

I think I know where you're coming from. Accepting a bounty also puts you under a certain pressure to succeed. If you do take time off regularly paid work and can't successfully complete the bounty, things get awkward...

I sure hope you're right. OTOH, if a week of paid full-time bug hunting might not be successful...

Anyway, if anyone some time in the future feels like there would be a specific job that would profit from a bounty-approach, don't hesitate to suggest one.
