+1 for GPL add ons.
The problem will be only if someone wants to make a proprietary release of Haiku. We aren't. :)
Even in this case, I still think this would be fine as long as the add-on code itself was released. But even if it was not, the problem would be with whoever did this proprietary release, not with us.
