[haiku-development] Re: ICH8, ICH9 Southbridge

Hi,

thanks to everyone who responded. I added some code today to
switch the Intel AHCI device into ACHI mode when the BIOS setting
is "basic" or "IDE".

As the PCI bus manager is missing some functionality, it won't work yet.
However, I would like to get some debugging info from ICH8 and ICH9 now.

Please install r22879 (or newer), set you BIOS into "basic" or "IDE" mode,
and capture the serial debug output.

Then attach it and a comment to this ticket: http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/1613

If you don't have serial debug output, please make a photo of
the lines that start with "intel_fixup_ahci", or write them down.
