Hi Jimmy, don't treat the Haiku Project as enemy.
And i don't want to flame, i just want people to think about things.

Wow, I guess I'm in the wrong place then.

Seriously, go into any no-profit and begin to argue about changing the way
they operate from 15 years without pretty much any argument, i don't think
anyone will make you the new chairman of the org.

Said that, before the R1 Community Poll, there were some strong demand to
have a package manager among other things. The Haiku project asked to vote :

The result of this vote is must-have. If you think it's undemocratic, then
can you show us another big project which done better?

Today, after tons of discussion, planning, money spent etc, there's people
which would like to return to a pre-pm Haiku. This is the real undemocratic
thing. This is a reactionary behavior.

Long before someone started to work on it, there were tons of discussions.
In those discussions, there were also other non-dev people and their
suggestion was listened enough when true arguments were pointed out.

Personally, i think the current developers are really implementing things
in the most efficient and simple way, but it's a my hopinion though. If
forking people really think that directories should not be read only, then
this modify shouldn't be so hard. Do it in Senryu and we'll see what
happen, which system behave better and which system cause more problems.
But at this point, why keep requesting to review decisions which were take
democratically?

Best Regards,
Dario
