Except that you seem to have ignored the last sentence. And isn't this discussion about defining what is in the scope of R1/alpha anyway? :)
So unless everyone disagrees, I would like to leave this topic out of this thread :-)
If you mean an updater application, I am ok with that. If you mean the entire subject of being able to somehow update the system without a reinstall, then I am not.
