[haiku-development] Re: [GSoC] improper name for "Porting SAMBA" task

About guru/supervisor for this ticket.
I think, besides F.Revol another candidate may be Gerasim Troyeglazov, who had almost implemented both standalone CIFS client and FS add-on, but has lack of time atm to complete the task.
Regards, SD
Excuse me, I'm the student who have submitted for "Port SAMBA" task.
Effectively, I had linux courses and I learned the CIFS client for Linux in samba sources.. Don't have a good experience of BSD, I didn't find the wrong title according to the task.

Now, I can work on porting SAMBA like write a CIFS client, it's on your convenience, I'll have motivation for one or other task. I updated my application like "Port Samba", but if you prefer a CIFS client app, I can update again. Just that I can't find a good plan now, I have oracle exam and can't do good research about CIFS client before the deadline.

I have changed the ticket accordingly.

Excuse me, but where did you change the ticket ?

thanks in advance, hope to work with your welcoming community !

Best regards,

Thanks for pointing this out, François.

Since it is more important to connect to SMB shares of other computers
(especially real servers, for example in film schools ;-), I have
    changed
the ticket accordingly. We could have a separate ticket for poting
    SAMBA,
in order to create shares from within Haiku, but the CIFS implementation
would be more useful as a first step IMHO.

    Best regards,
