Hi there! Embarrassing as it is, I could finally bring myself to put together the audio/video/image/data demo packages that were collected by GCI students in 2010(!). I was almost there about a year ago, but lost all my editing and additions in an unfortunate deletion accident... Now, I more or less took the file collections as is, only anonymized the emails, put some images into the Person files, translated a subtitle file and edited two video and two audio filed into one multitrack video file. I also removed a few images and videos to cut down on file size, though the packges are still quite big: DemoPackage_Audio 270 MiB (mp3, ogg, ac3, m4a, wav, flac, midi) DemoPackage_Data 50 MiB (person, bookmarks, email, pdf, txt, rtf, html, zip, rar, tar.gz) DemoPackage_Image 80 MiB (jpg, bmp, tga, gif, png, tiff) DemoPackage_Video 290 MiB (ogv, mpg, avi, flv, mp4) These packages are meant to prepare a demo or test installation if you don't have suitable material of all categories handy. Of course, everyone is welcome to improve these packages with better content. Just make sure licensing won't become an issue, i.e. best use personally created files or get content under a free license (it's a good idea to list the URL a file is downloaded from in the .readme file). Now, I guess those could be optional packages. Would this .OptionalPackageDescription be OK? Package: DemoPackage_Audio Version: 0.1 Copyright: 2012, Haiku, Inc. License: Creative Commons URL: http://creativecommons.org/ I'm not sure about the license, as those are all collections of files with possibly different licenses. Though most should be CC or public domain... Regards, Humdinger --=-=--=-=--=-=--=-=--=-=--=-=--=-=--=-=--=-=--=- Deutsche Haiku News - Haiku Gazette http://haiku-gazette.blogspot.com
