I think, You don't understand me. If i booting from Flash i got KDL under the 
boot process too (time out, can't write block). Not only under the copy 
process. This is not depend i use Installer or copy with manual. And yes, i got 
KDL if i use Installer too.
This is, why i like to see on-the-fly update support in Haiku.
Looks like you got a bad install image. Sometimes this happens. Try newer ones until you succeed.
