Agreed.My main beef with debian based distros. They should just cut a
CDROM on critical updates and leave it at this.
MS doesn't have that issue for some reason.

If you update everything BUT the bootloader you should be okay if you
reboot immeadiately,though. WHy do you think Windows XP on up log you
off to do the updates?
