I can imagine it won't work well with existing apps. To be a bit more
sure, you can have a look at how DiskProbe implements correctly resized
tabs for its attribute window. If that will work with your changes,
others might as well.
I don't think it's a good idea to call for trouble this way before R1.
This class should just be replaced afterwards. As Ryan mentioned, the
CardView seems to be an alternative for people using the new layout
classes, so there is already something you can use today.
