As I recall when I merged in mmlr's branch it did not yet have encryption. I was going to add it but did not since I thought it would be nice to have a simple Haiku encryption API, and that had several options for a back-end so I got stuck in analysis paralysis and then stopped working on it at all.
I don't think anyone has worked on it since, so I guess it actually doesn't encrypt the keys. While it would be nice to have an encryption API, it really shouldn't hold up that work. It's a also a good idea to actually use an API before thinking of designing a new one :-)
Bye, Axel.
