Hi,

Hate to reply to my own posts, but anyway:

HDA driver is not enabled by default. IMO it is good enough now to be though.
Hold that idea off for a little while, I'm currently trying to fix a definite blocker with enabling the HDA driver on my EeePC. It gets into an interrupt storm which prevents the system from doing anything at boot up. Symptoms are getting into the blue background (app_server) screen, but never seeing Tracker come alive.

Another easy way to spot this problem is to press F12 when booting stalls, and type "ints". If one of the interrupts has hda listed _and_ has a crazy amount of 'handled' interrupts, you're seeing the same as me :(
The described problem is fixed in r29172. The weird thing is, that this should have hit other people too, but obviously it is dependent on _exact_ hardware configuration. So, I'd like everyone who had it working so far to verify that this didn't break anything for them. It didn't here, at least, but both my test boxes here had the symptom.
Anyway, not quite ready for prime-time I'd say.
If no-one else is having issues anymore, I'd reconsider ;)

Ithamar.
