Hmmm, is the nature of BFS such that it would not work well on Flash
hard drives? Or could there be a "Flash-mode" added without having to
hack too much code?
I guess that if we changed the allocation policy it could work, but I am not sure this would be enough. 


Also I think the modern Flash drives are much more tolerant of
frequent writes than they used to be.


Exactly. That's why it would last a couple of weeks. :)
