On the topic of fonts I also think it might be nice to add the Droid
fonts from Android
(http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=platform/frameworks/base.git;a=tree;f=data/fonts;hb=HEAD),
or at least see how they look on Haiku. If anyone has tried them let
me know.
In addition I also think it would be good to integrate my Microsoft
Font Installer [1] or something similar into the Haiku installer, so
we can have Verdana and the other fonts. Or it could be added as an
optional package.
The main requirement of Microsoft's release of these fonts is that
they remain in their original cab/exe format when distributed, so it
is just a matter of having a cab extractor when installing. This is
all my installer did: it includes a cab extractor and a script that
was run by the package installer on BeOS (our package installer does
not yet have that feature AFAIK.) There is also a EULA associated with
this fonts [2]. It isn't anything crazy though.

2. http://corefonts.sourceforge.net/eula.htm
Unless someone is opposed to this I will eventually try to add this
since I think these fonts will improve the web browsing experience.
