Not sure what you mean by that, but all that I think Tracker should do 
differently is that it should set the MIME type on all files visible 
that don't have one yet (as part of opening the directory).
I can't see how the registrar should do that (this one already has a 
MIME scanner when the system is idle, but that could be removed if you 
ask me).
