Actually it depends on countries, for example in France, authors' rights
are divided into patrimonial ($$) rights that can be transfered, and
moral rights which are inalienable and untransferable, like the right to
be known for the work, the right to withdraw, and the right to respect
to the oeuvre. Though it's a bit disolved for software it seems.
But then if they transfered copyright to Haiku, Inc. it usually means
they don't mind that much having their named mentionned or not I suppose.
