Pretty much.
Or maybe we need some new fresh project to keep the fire well alive, and working on Haiku the operating system alone is not a good motivation anymore. Like a teenage crisis. Maybe it's time to think about an Haiku Apps spinoff. The recent survey results shows there is a most-wanted spot here.
I think we need more students with plenty of time on their fingers and no other duties ;-)
But seriously, many of the low hanging fruit is gone now, and also not less importantly, introducing new things is always problematic as you can see with the discussions about session management. And working on new and interesting stuff is always a nice motivation :-)
Many of the issues left in Haiku require a lot of time to figure out. And that's nothing that I can currently come up with. Haiku is running pretty well for me mostly, and the things that annoy me are rather complicated to solve. This makes it much more worthwhile to seek for coding contracts, and I agree with Stephan that I really look forward to seeing Michael at work.
Bye, Axel.
