Sorry I was not clear, I never wanted to remove that, it's obviously useful. 
But I wanted to remove the ability to drag the selection within the bitmap 
to another place, I find that totally useless. I can only wonder how many 
attempts it took Matt to blank out some emails and stuff using that 
"feature" seeing you can't even adjust the selection (only start a new one). 
IMHO one should use the appropriate tool for the job.
