Hi,

On 4/17/07, Łukasz 'Sil2100' Zemczak <sil2100@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
I've placed the install destination separate from the install type since
in most cases it's not quite dependent on the chosen profile.

I think I'd prefer to have the destination at the bottom (next to the
"Install" button), like you suggested, because:
* The install type pop-up menu can't overlap with the destination's
free space field (which would make it more difficult to check at once
whether you have enough free space).
* I agree with Łukasz that the destination field belongs more to the
"Install" button than to the install type.
* The destination normally doesn't matter and IMHO it gets slightly
more attention if it's placed below the install type (which is not
desired/necessary).
* It's more effective use of screen space.

Having the size of each install in the selection is a great idea. I
don't think there would be problems with this issue too. The BMenuField
adjusts its size to the width of the selected label by default, if not
stated otherwise. In this case, will we still need the "Size:" label
positioned somewhere else?

I think we don't need need it, anymore, because that information is
already in the pop-up field.

As for the scroller in the description field - wouldn't it be better to
include it only if needed? I mean, the field size would depend on the
description size (auto resize), but when it reaches some value, we make
it scrollable. I think this would look a bit better.

I agree.

Bye,
