well i basically agree with you stuart regarding the need of group meetings
(ofcourse the best way to have this is on irc.)
but i do think that an irc channel is nice because it provides a quick way
of communicating with more than 1 cdt member at a time. i was on irc with
boris and debro for like an hour yesterday, and it was very different from
reading forum..
the forum, being webased, is ofcourse alot slower than any software based
platform. and the main reason i use the mailing list alot lately is that i
moved to regular pop mail instead of the annoying webased mail.
an IRC channel, is not the goal. but its a very nice way to communicate with
you guys when im online. (and also chat - which is very different from
discussing...)
