Yup. I tested the patches last night, and while they enabled us to take
control of the usb host controller, it also caused an interrupt storm as
you said causing random lockups shortly afterward.
A note to anyone looking at this ticket: don't commit
usbOHCIStartupV1/usbOHCIStartupV2
