 I wonder if you thoughts on scheduling and locking ping pong would have
 any effect on the amount of performance disparity seen in building Haiku.

 I get this for a compile Time building Haiku on Haiku. I understand the
 Haiku Kernel design does take a efficiency drop off in comparison to more
 throughput favoring designs. But this seems a bit atrocious to me.

 I got a system time of 15min and a kernel time of 50min to build Haiku.
 The disparity is much smaller on Linux system. I just wouldn't expect such
 a drastic difference in compile time. Maybe this is all pointing to the
 same symptom.
