 I think I've nailed it down to changeset r42501 (when S&T became part of
 app server): A gcc2hybrid build of r42500 is unaffected (apart from the
 deskbar moving down when switching to SATDecorator), in r42501, the
 deskbar is resized to a box if auto-raise is enabled.
