Before jumping to conclusions there's a convenient way to verify that
assumption: Try explicitly disabling IO-APICs in the safe mode options of
the boot loader and check if that resolves the problem.
Also the changed ticket summary is rather misleading. From the ints output
there's not any unusally high number of unhandled interrupts present.
