#7630: Sent back windows won't rise again --------------------------------+------------------------- Reporter: humdinger | Owner: axeld Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Servers/app_server | Version: R1/alpha3 Keywords: | Blocked By: Blocking: | Has a Patch: 0 Platform: All | --------------------------------+------------------------- I think I found a window behaviour that has changed when compared to earlier revisions, though I have no idea when... This is R1/alpha3, r41843. Mouse settings: Click to focus and raise, Accept first click. This is as expected: * Have two windows open (e.g. web+ and vision), overlapping a bit. * The top one is active (yellow tab). * Click anywhere into the bottom one, it's raised, becoming active. This is unexpected: * Have two windows open (e.g. web+ and vision), overlapping a bit. * The top one is active (yellow tab). * Right-click its tab, it's sent to back. But apparently still active. Q: Is this correct? Might be. Maybe the now top one should become automatically active. I don't know... But carry on... * Click anywhere into the bottom one you have just sent back, -> it's '''not''' raised. I think it should. Only when clicking onto its tab or border the window rises again. It should come up if clicked anywhere.[[BR]] So, while you can alternate between overlapping windows by bringing the lower one to front by simply left-clicking anywhere into the lower window, this won't work anymore when you have sent one window to the back using a right-click on tab/border (or by using CTRL+ALT+rightclick). For Tracker window, it works as expected. #6420 had a related issue, but not the same.
