OK, the gdb end of the system is in the clear. It's doing the single step
as requested, and the B_DEBUGGER_SINGLE_STEP message it gets back has
cpu_state.eip == 0xffff0114, which is somewhere either in the commpage or
just off the end of it. So back to Comment 1 and enabling logging in parts
of my kernel...
