I tested "HP Pavillon dv6". It works now. The kernel boots, but I was not
able to mount the USB-connected boot device (USB not supported).

Installer does not touch the MBR, it only writes the PBR (Partition boot
record).
So if you have the blinking cursor after the installation, and the message
"No bootable active volume" after writing the MBR code again, I am almost
sure that you don't have a partitioning system on your disk...
