I think I do have the same Belkin: (2.0+EDR IIRC)
Bus 006 Device 003: ID 050d:0012 Belkin Components F8T012 Bluetooth Adapter

Booted r31260 gcc4 just fine with it being plugged in during boot.

Yes, I think this is normal as the OpionalPackage won't modify the BootScript.
Don't even know that there is a facility for having optional packages modify
any scripts. Might be wrong, though.

You might wan't to launch it in your UserBootscript for the time being.
