[hackpgh-discuss] Re: Github repositories updated!

Yeah, since SVG is a plain-text format Github will display the code in the browser without giving a download link. One solution is to go to a specific SVG's page (for example https://github.com/matthewbeckler/HackPittsburghMedia/blob/master/logos/hackpgh_logo_offical_colors.svg) and then click the raw link, and then do a save-as on the page.

Also I've attached a PDF and PNG version of the soldering iron logo in black-and-gold with the name/url at the bottom. Hope that helps!

I tried taking the logo from the github site to give to the Cyborg
Cabaret folks. I didn't find any sort of download link, so I just right
clicked the file name and did a 'Save As'. However, inkscape can't open
any of the files I try to download. The error message is 'Failed to load
the requested file (path) hackpgh_soldering_iron.svg'. I get the same
thing on the official logo colors one, too. Is there anything else I can
try?

Since I can't see any of the logos, I'm hoping that
'hackpgh_logo_offical_colors.svg' has both the soldering iron and the
HackPittsburgh or HackPgh text beneath it since that is what I'd like to
give them. Here are the other logos: http://cyborgcabaret.org/ (scroll
to bottom). If that's not it, let me know where else I can look. I
didn't see anything on the main webpage.

Thanks,

Laura

Happens, thanks for the update! (and for all the work in getting
    this all organized)

    It is! Very cute!
And simple enough we could almost use it for a Friday night
    soldering event.
Last year Chris (Yohe) did a one wire soldering Friday night that
    went very well... Hmm....
