Thanks for that. I think that might of done it.
Sounds like you have turned on Formatting marks.
Go to Tools, Options, then on the General Tab, make sure nothing is checked in the "Formatting Marks" section.

I'm having a little problem with Microsoft word saying hind white space every few seconds. Could someone tell me why it's saying this? I'm using windows xp pro with window eyes 5.5.
