On my computer, (Windows M.E.), inWindows Explorer, Tools, General page,
on one of the tabs you have two radiobuttons: Open each folder in the
same Window", "Open each folder in a separate window". "Same Window"
should do it, perhaps?

Subject: [guispeak] alt-F4 closing one window at a time

Prior to my computer being totally trashed by a worm or virus a couple
of
weeks ago, alt-f4 would take me back to the desktop when used from
several
levels down in "my computer." Now, it backs me out one window at a time
or
one level. example if I am in a subfolder of a subfolder of a folder
in my
documents, it goes up one level at a time. Previously, using the
backspace
would do this, but alt-f4 got me out of there in one try. I have
changed
everything I could think of and the problem continues. Any suggestions?
